System Test Engineer – JEE
Roles & Responsibilities: Required to work on System Testing of JEE systems deployed over JBOSS as Enterprise application server and Tomcat as Web application server. Test Engineer has to work with development team to understand the user stories/scenarios of the system and design appropriate test strategy and test cases. Execute the tests on the system, report defects and verify the defects in subsequent builds. Regression testing of the system for generic functionalities. Exploratory testing to Identify unusual technical issues/user experience issues.
Educational Qualifications: B.Tech/BE/MCA from a college of repute.
Primary Skills required: In depth understanding of JEE systems, Enterprise and Web applications that work in multi-tier. Practical skills to understand new functionalities that work over distributed n-tier system and involve complex synchronous and asynchronous message interaction. Proficiency in using commercial / open-source testing/ network monitoring tools. Proficiency in UNIX/ Linux environment, knowledge of administration and advanced usage of such systems.
Secondary Skills required: Good communication skills, oral and written. Automation: scripting experience in Ruby, Java, Shell, Perl Exposure to AGILE methods, JIRA/Excel.
