Vacancy:
Manager Hotel Sales (11 Guest Houses in Kolkata)
Job : (a) Sales/marketing, (b)Guest service, (c)operations, (d)property appearance, and (e)financial control.
Posting : Kolkata
Salary : Rs.30000 plus incentives. Not a Constraint for the right candidate with the relevant experience in running small guest houses.
Company : A Small Proprietorship company with 7 Guest Houses and big contacts. The Guests Houses have made big money allowing the Proprietor to buy a small loss making Hotel . The new Hotel will not be your responsibility until further notice.
Key responsible Areas
• Will be responsible to get orders for the rooms in the 7 Guest Houses, manage operations on a day to day basis to assure optimum performance, discipline and continual improvement in the five Key Result Areas ((a)Guest service, (b)operations, (c)sales/marketing, (d)property appearance, and (e)financial control.

• (a) Sales/marketing
• Direct and coordinate activities of businesses and customer acquisition and ensure smooth operations of pricing, sales, or distribution of products
• Lead functions like updating online portals, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement

• (b)Guest service, (c)operations
• Leads the Corporate customer acquisition role and everyday hotel operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction and efficiency while maintaining standards set by the company assuring 100% guest satisfaction.
• Responsible of complete business operations including Planning, organizing, directing & controlling of work and fully accountable to ensure smooth operations of Guest House.
• Coordinating with other departments for smooth functioning of Guest House.

• Determine goods and services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand and as per company business rules and policies.
• Increase revenue by close monitoring of unit terms performance
• Motivating and establishing a healthy work atmosphere along with other colleagues in the operations team including the output and the welfare of the entire team.
• Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, security operations planning, preparation, management and control and other statutory regulations.
• Managing and working together with varied suppliers and providers
• Taking responsibility and overseeing other possibly upcoming projects / improvements regardless of their scope or scale, on time and to the desired standard, as specified from time to time
Micro Break up of Responsibility :
(1) You will create a Database of potential areas of booking – such as Visitors from foreign lands , corporate entities doing interstate travel – hence list of companies and the names of the people who matter, embassies, travel agents, Car booking companies, colleges for tour plans etc
(2) You shall create an Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, weekly, daily reports that shall be modified based on ground realities on a daily basis. Each such daily report shall be sent vide email to the Proprietor for her records and perusal.
(3) You shall have a Skype Video Call daily in the morning and evening to update the Proprietor about the progress and plans.
(4) You shall keep the App named ‘Telegram’ downloaded & installed on your Mobile to remain constantly updated by the Proprietor and for you to keep her updated constantly.
(5) Supervise Sales Reports of Field Sales Team who meet corporate clients, and all of above based on appointments fixed by any one telemarketing girl. Personally Meet & close clients shortlisted by your sales force . You have to personally ring up to welcome all guests when they Check In and ring them up to understand their feedback when they Check Out. Encourage & Guide the workers per Guest House to work as your After Sales team and to keep in constant touch with the existing clients and get more orders.
(6) Ensure that the Search Engine Optimisation is done for your Website and that any search for Guest House must result in your Brand appearing on the First Page of any Search. Ensure Listing is updated in all possible Directories – online and Offline
(7) Encourage talk on your guest house by creating programmes that attract news.
(8) Ensure all legalities , Govt norms, rules, etc are followed. Ensure all taxes are cleared on time.
(9) Ensure proper look of the various Guest Houses and that they look neat, tidy and comfortable.
(10) Ensure workers are sent for training every six months at any Guest house within your charge.
(11) Ensure Digitisation of Attendance sheet / leave and salary, Data of Assets , Store detailing inputs and widrawal, Data of customers Check In and Check Out,
(12) You would be good at costing. You would determine new services and goods to be provided and at what cost.
(13) You would sit with your accounts team and understand Cash in hand, Budgeted expenses, expenses already executed and finally redo plans based on ground realities.
(14) You shall prepare an Annual Performance chart for every employee in your team and send same to the Proprietor for evaluation and raise to be granted to any employee based on your personal recommendation.
(15) You shall submit to the Proprietor a report on Expences versus Profits earned after all Taxes and expences
