The IT department is seeking two brilliant software engineers who are passionate about technology and love to challenge themselves with complex tasks. The software engineer should expect a hands-on technical role within a team charged with creating modules for Tracopay’s payment platform. The software engineer will join a talented and motivated team and will be reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

We are looking for software engineers with the following skill set:

§ Programming: expert level in one of the following languages C, C++, Python or PHP.

In addition, the software engineer should have a solid understanding of:

§ Operating Systems: experience with Unix/Linux based operating systems.

§ Network configuration: network administration and monitoring, network security and network protocols (Sockets, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, PPP, POP3, IMAP).

§ Internet Security: implementation of internet security mitigations such as firewall policies, network configurations, cryptographic techniques i.e. smart tokens, zero-knowledge authentication protocols etc.

§ Database design and administration: expertise in proper database design and big data querying techniques.

§ Web application and server development.

Tracopay has found a way to combine the portability of a debit card, the versatility of a payment… app and the functionality of a POS terminal to create an interactive smart card that makes e-money easy to use.

The interactive smart card enables clients of financial institutions to securely make contactless payments, money transfers, bill/remote payments and online payments. The interactive smart card can be used to make account deposits and withdrawals and to also remotely access micro-credit and micro-insurance services.
