Job Description
To co-ordinate information from Kharafi National Facilities Management to ensure that the manpower provides a continual professional service to effect planned maintenance and repair of the building services equipment to comply with contract requirements, quality system and health and safety of the clients and own personnel.
JOB OBJECTIVES
-To lead a team of civil workers to include painters, masons, carpenters and locksmith to ensure that all building fabric and infrastructure is inspected and serviced and repaired as required by the planned maintenance and reactive maintenance requirements.
-Work together with all colleagues and associates on site to maintain a team building working relationships.
-To interpret instructions and related information into meaningful and accurate work directives to ensure building fabric is maintained and repaired in accordance with instructions from Supervisor or work instruction.
-To ensure labour, material and equipment is provide for work to carry out a planned maintenance and reactive repair within set time frames
-Clean all equipment and plant rooms to maintain all areas to a high level of cleanliness
-Paint all equipment and plant rooms as required or as detailed by the site management
-To maintain effective lines of communication between the workforce and management.
-To maintain and enforce a safe working environment by analysing risk and job planning
-To maintain client satisfaction by controlling employees and control of work in the workplace
-Ensure quality control is enforced by inspection of all completed work
-Maintain constant reporting lines to management both verbal and written
-Ensure servicing and repair is carried out within the work order set time frames
-Assist work colleagues in other departments to carry out works to fulfil the contract requirements
-Personally accountable for ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
-Ensure subordinates and yourself attend Safety Meetings and Toolbox talks to increase safety awareness
-Mandatory to promptly report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions/practices immediately to the site management or to SHE.
-To provide service to Kharafi National Facilities Management for whatever working hours are required for any site for any department work required to comply with the contract requirements.
-Undertake all works required as directed by superiors and the Facilities Manager
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
-ITI in Civil and Building Systems (To be verified)
-English language skills both written and oral (To be verified by Test)
-Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a building services facilities management environment that includes the repair of building fabric, painting, masonry carpentry, locks.
-Supervisory Skills to motivate and control a workforce of a minimum of 2 to 5 persons
-Experienced in ensuring quality work from subordinates by inspection
-Customer satisfaction
