We have immediate openings for one of the US based company in Bangalore for the position of Manager – Testing Delivery(Manual & Automation) in Bangalore.


Looking for Female candidates only who have handled 20 team members presently or previously. And at a time handled multiple projects like 4 to 5.

Qualification: Any Graduates
Experience level: 12-15 years
CTC: 20Lacs depending on last drawn CTC

Manager – Testing Delivery


The Testing Delivery Manager will report to and work directly with the Companys Director of Software Quality to set and achieve department strategic direction, objectives and goals of the .
The Testing Delivery Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to multiple Test Leads on their day-to-day delivery of testing services across multiple projects. This involves ensuring that testing projects are properly estimated, planned, and executed with staff sharing across projects following all Companys SQA standards to drive consistent and quality results. This role also involves on-boarding, mentoring, and guiding the Test Leads in training entry level and experienced testers on the teams processes, tools, standards of excellence and project needs for testing.


The Testing Delivery Manager will have the opportunity to introduce and drive innovative testing methodologies within the to help mature and grow the organizations capabilities. Additionally, they will be providing thought leadership across multiple project teams serving as a key advocate for standardization of testing methodology and advancement of thepractice. They would also serve as the initial point of contact for all project teams for engagements to build understanding of the team capabilities and help build high-level staff planning documents for projects during their feasibility stage.
The Testing Delivery Manager will perform the following duties in conjunction with and under the direction of the Director SQA:


Management for Manual Testing Projects
Guide in development of manual testing across multiple projectsand SDLCs (Waterfall, Agile and Iterative) culminating in a department view of workload
Evaluatetesting estimates for sanity and appropriate coverage
Review and approve project test strategy and test plans as created by the Testing Leads
Review, modify and enforce use of project test repository organization and design
Review, modify and enforce requirements management, test case creation, defect tracking and standard testing workflow management
Provide Testing Leads guidance during their teamstest executions
Review and approve test status reports and test metrics to demonstrate value provided
Monitor project risk and issue management relative to staff coverage across the department
Review project retrospectives and performance reviews created by Testing Leads for projects
Perform ongoing performance reviews for Testing Leads
Ongoing reporting and status to Director SQA weekly
Management for Automation Testing Projects
Provide guidance and direction in test automation across multiple projects and SDLCs (Waterfall, Agile and Iterative) culminating in a department view of workload
Proactively identify opportunities for automation within manual testing projects and make recommendations to Testing Leads and Project Leaders
Work closely with the Test Automation Leads in defining automation strategy, framework and tools that fit the projects needs
Manage the development of proof-of concept automation prototypes
Provide governance over all test automation projects
Ongoing reporting and status to Director SQA


Team Mentoring and Guidance
Assist with the continued development of the
Maintain and ensure staff compliance with SQA department standards and procedures
Provide expertise on testing processes for Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative projects
Reinforce team testing standards
Set standards for effective use of Test Management and Defect Management tools using ALM methodology in HPQC
Coach on test scenarios and test case design for re-usability, maintainability, and easy of automation across all projects
Mentor team members to help them reach their goals
Initiate and sponsor training programs, as appropriate, to ensure team compliance with test procedures
Project Guidance
Participate in project testing assessments, strategies, and recommendations to improve testing capabilities
Perform testing tools evaluations and recommendations
Coach testing teams on transitioning to agile testing
Ensure SQA standards for project management are being followed and testing artifacts are being delivered


Testing Practice Advisor
On-board new team members to Testing Practice
Determine team members preferences for type of work to be considered for project assignments
Develop goals, training plans and career paths with team members
Develop and maintain job descriptions for Testing Practice
Coordinate and drive annual performance reviews for team members
Coach team members related to HR issues
Maintain up-to-date team calendar with vacation days, time away from office, sick dates, etc. for resource availability plan
Create and maintain the department project pipeline with both project and staff activity (30/60/90/180 and 365 day) views to be used to facilitate staff sharing across projects
Monitor accuracy of team members time reporting
Thought Leadership
Research latest testing trends and approaches and apply, as feasible
Continued review of processes used across the department compared against industry standards
Evaluation of tools and expanded use of current tools for improved team productivity




Requirements

Technical Skills
Proficient in desktop tools: Windows Explorer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Outlook, Lync/Live Meetings, file management, etc.
Demonstrate proficiency in using multiple OS, browsers and mobile devices (iOS and Android)
Ability to maintain PC hardware/software, troubleshooting basic PC problems, downloading and installing software to PC
Hands-on experience with various test management and defect management tools
Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools
Has delivered framework-based automated testing on previous engagements


Education and Experience
Bachelors degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Manager or Senior Test Manager
15+ years of experience in IT software development and testing
Experience in leading/managing teams with 30 or more members
Prior experience as a consultant is preferred but not mandatory
