Job Description

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with architecting large scale solutions (Java and mainframe experience a plus)
Proven background in the design and implementation of large scale, complex custom application development systems
Strong understanding of health Insurance electronic data interfaces (EDI), data transmission, and healthcare transactions including experience and knowledge of 270/271 transactions, return acknowledgements (997 & 824 responses) batch processing, testing with trading partners, commercial health plans, and other healthcare provider networks
Minimum of two (2) years of experience and knowledge of MD Clients Automated Resource Eligibility System (CARES) 2
Minimum two (2) year experience with and knowledge of Affordable Care Act (ACA), State Based Marketplaces (SBM), and business objectives of MHBE or Federally Facilitated Marketplaces (FFM)
Strong understanding of SOA principles, design patterns and ability to research and apply new technology on large scale systems
Strong ability to diagnose and solve architecture issues such as performance and security issues
* Proven knowledge and hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise applications using C# or Java. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory is a plus
Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as the work dictates
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight timelines
Exemplary communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization, external vendor partners, as well as other internal and external stakeholders
Quick study including the ability to quickly come up to speed on business needs and translate business needs into customer service needs
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Must be motivated, adaptable, flexible, and able to produce quality results in an evolving, fast-paced environment
Previous consulting experience desired but not required.
