Safety Officer (highway Project) (Uttar Pradesh)

Job Description

Responsible for complex technical work in a wide range of environmental, safety and health disciplines to achieve compliance with ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and health programs, systems and procedures.

Responsible for monitoring and preventing hazards in the workplace.
Continuously recommending improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
Assists in conduction employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs.
ES&H Specialists are expected to pursue and/or complete ES&H related professional certifications including, but not limited to the Certified Safety Professional (CSP), the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)

Education:
Post Graduate/Graduate preferably in science subject with the diploma in Safety Management.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Health or Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalent.

Essential criteria:

Internal customer management skills.
Knowledge of Environment Health & Safety Measures.
Knowledge of Road & Tunnel Safety.
Friendly with Computer use & data preparations.
Excellent oral and written communications skills in Hindi and English.
