10+ years of experience in Procurement, Vendor Mgt. and Supply Chain of all types of Valves. Experience of purchasing from other countries like Middle East and China is preferable. Specific capabilities – Should be familiar with procurement for Tube
& precision pipe fittings; Needle & Gauge Valve, Ball Valve. Has developed specialized vendors for new product development and understands quality procedures well. Implementing and monitoring effective procurement schedules along with finalizing the specifications of the materials and establishing the quality & quantity limits for effective inventory control. Establishing good working relationships with vendors through personal contact; discussing and resolving problems regarding delayed delivery dates. Collecting data on current market conditions to keep informed on market trends; coordinating with salesmen regarding ordering of supplies. Checking prices and approving invoices on purchase orders; scheduling delivery dates and following up on delayed deliveries.
Ensuring compliance to statutory requirements (Excise, VAT, Import- Export, and Sales Tax & Customs). Implementing the supply chain system and procedures for effective inventory control for ensuring ready availability of materials to meet the production targets. Handling the logistic functions & negotiating with transporters for cost effective transport solutions. Processing customer orders within stipulated time with high order allocation ratio & accuracy. Monitoring the dispatch and distribution activities for finished products to various CFA, Institutional customers with compliance to Excise regulation. Identifying out sourcing resources & logistics needs; negotiating the price & finalizing the procurement price with suppliers.
